Random Blog

I don't have any pictures for this blog because it's just me rambling. I have been so busy busy busy lately that I wanted to catch some of you up on what's going on in my life. Kylee is two and keeps me on my toes. She's starting to potty train a little but not fully. She thinks it's fun and just a game right now but she's going "pee-pee" on the potty at least once a day so that's a start! David is keeping busy with work. It's extremely hot so working in the warehouse makes him exhausted by the time he gets home. He is out a lot with the missionaries during the week. They are about to baptize a new member and her kids so that's great news! This will be his 3rd baptism since having his calling!! It's great to see the joy that his calling brings into his life. He loved being a missionary and having this calling helps him fulfill what he's great at. I've been extremely busy with volleyball and my calling. I LOVE the young women in my ward and they keep me young! They are awesome and such great examples for me. If you saw my previous blog then you know that the high school season has started up again. I either have practice or a match daily. It's very time consuming and David knows that I'm gone a lot during these 3 months but he is very supportive of me while I'm doing what I love! Kylee loves playing with her friends and cousins while I'm at practices too. It's good for her to get out and play with other kids. It's what she loves to do! That's our lives in a quick nutshell. Life is great and we couldn't be happier! We just hope that baby number 2 comes quick because we want another baby pronto!!! It's all on Heavenly Father's time clock though and we are definately learning patience from all this. I love you all and hope to hear from you soon!

My other life!

For those of you who know me well, you know that I'm wrapped up in the life of volleyball and have been since I was 10 so I thought I'd post a picture of my 2007 Higley High School varsity volleyball team. This is my 4th season at Higley. I can already smell another state championship title with this group of girls! We had our first scrimmage on Wednesday and they are looking great! My assistant coach and I have been working them hard during pre-season and I know it's all going to pay off. On a side note.......I want to thank David for always supporting me through my BUSY coaching life and being there for me all the way. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive awesome husband! I love you David!

Friends, Friends, Friends - I love my friends!!!!

My friends and I get together when we can. It's so hard because we all live so far away and are usually in different states. But when we are all in town, we party! We are missing Kim and Heidi but we will see them next time. I love my girls!
Heather and Cliffy. Cutie pies!
The crazy two of the group. Silly girls!
Love my Tausha!
These two bonded this night. What a cute couple!

Our Daily Struggle!!!

For those of you who know me, you know that I'm very anal when it comes to Kylee's hair. We go through the same thing every morning because I won't leave the house until her hair is done. Depending on Kylee's mood and what kind of hair style I'm doing, it either goes smoothly or it is a struggle! Most of the time it's a smooth ride but some days, it's like this!
Ahhhh, the finished product!!!! This was an easy one too. Kylee just didn't want me to mess with her hair this day.

Last and Final Birthday Post

This was our last and final birthday celebration for Kylee. Since my family lives so far away from us, we decided to bring the party to them this year. We brought Lee and Courtney's slide with us for all my nephews to play on. It was a huge hit! Kylee had a fun time hanging out with all her boy cousins!

More Birthday Pictures

Some of the presents that Kylee got for her birthday in these pictures are a new stroller (the old one is the broken one that her cousin Cole is playing with), and a princess dress (her first among many I'm sure). She got many other things from her cousins too. She was kind of nervous when everyone was singing happy birthday to her this time, as you can see in the last picture. She wasn't too sure about it. But she loves all her new things from her cousins. Thank you!!!

Birthday Girl Today!

Kylee is two! Since we aren't officially celebrating her birthday until Saturday, I made cupcakes and took them to David's work so we could all sing to her and so she could blow out the candle. I think this might be the first time she's seen fire. You can tell by one of the pictures. She almost burned her nose off. It was funny!

Our "not-so-fun" trip to L.A.

I've always wanted to go down Rodeo Drive and since it was located about 5 minutes away from my doctors office, we drove down it. In my opinion.....it's way over-rated!!! But it was still fun to go!

We stayed (recovered from surgery) with David's cousin who lives in GORGEOUS Laguna Niguel. They live 2 miles from Laguna Beach where we took this picture. It's beautiful there!

David's cousin (Megan) and her husband Jeff's baby girl Whitney. She is a doll!!! It was fun to have a baby to play with since Kylee stayed in AZ with my parents. We missed her!!!

The New Port Beach temple! We didn't get to go inside because it was closed for maintenance but we got some pretty shots of the outside. It's not white but a peach color because they had to make it blend in with the environment. It's weird to go from the eye-shocking white San Diego temple to this peach colored New Port Beach temple. But it's still beautiful! Hopefully we'll be able to go inside next time we visit.
