My Rising Star!!!

There is a video at the bottom of this page (scroll all the way down to watch it) and here is the explanation of what it's all about:
On Saturday night my ward had a talent show. It was so much fun! We weren't planning on entering but somehow "The Pew's" got entered on the list about 3 different times with talents such as yodeling and tap dancing...............................Come on now!!!! Everyone in the ward just loves to play jokes on the Pews! Anyway, on the way to the talent show that night, Kylee was singing along with her Disney songs and David and I both decided that since we probably will have to fill one of those spaces on the list, we signed Kylee up last minute. I was afraid she wouldn't do it but once I mentioned that she will get to sing into the microphone.....she was excited as can be! She kept asking me, "Mommy, is it my turn to sing yet?" David and I both didn't have our cameras so a friend of mine watching noticed this and taped it for us. Thanks Cody!

I'm still here!

For those of you who keep up with my blog, you know that I usually post at least once a week (sometimes twice) and it's been 8 days since my last post. That's mainly due to the fact that a new season at Higley started and I've been crazy with tryouts and our first week of practices. I haven't really done anything but that so I don't have any fun pictures to post. But since David keeps complaining about my song choices on my blog, I've decided to change them up a bit. I haven't gone country yet and for those of you who know me, I'm not a huge country music fan. But I started listening to country when I was a Freshman in college. My room mate was obsessed with country and all day long she'd have CMT on the tv and I hated it for the longest time. But slowly and surely, I started to like it. It's all I heard for the first 3 months of college so I guess it was bound to grow on me sometime! Anyway, since the year 2000 (my Freshman year at college), these are some of my favorites from good ole country singers! I still have to admit though that I'm not that big of a country music fan! I only listen to it when there is absolutely nothing else on any of the other stations.
Anyway, back to blogging.......I will post something soon! I'm sure something is coming up in my life other than volleyball that you all will be interested in hearing about! But I'm sorry if my next picture and post is about my high school team because I'm proud of them and excited for our new season! Until then..........

Good-bye Elli :(

Kylee is very sad that Elli is moving out of our ward. Kylee has so many "boy" friends and boy cousins her age so she rarely gets to play princess dress-up and do girly things with her girl friends. But Elli and Kylee are the exact same when it comes to playing. It's hilarious to watch them together. It's like one mind!!! Elli got to come over one last time yesterday while David went over to help the Baker's move. Kylee and Elli had a blast!
This is them playing in Kylee's little hutch. They would ask me to shut the doors and then they would spring them open at the same time and shout "surprise"!!! They thought it was hilarious.
And here they are dancing. Elli is twirling Kylee around in this picture. So cute!!!

Stopping to smile for the camera!
We are going to miss you Baker family! We hope you love your new ward and update your blog OFTEN so we can keep up with how you are doing. Kylee needs to see lots of pictures of Elli on your blog so she won't miss her too much!!! Thanks for playing last night Elli!

Kylee's Birthday Party

As you all know (from my previous post), Kylee's birthday was on Saturday and we threw her a "water" party. We rented a huge water slide with a little pool at the bottom, and we set up a sprinkler under the trampoline. So the kids had a ton of water fun outside. While the kids were outside playing, the adults were inside having some fun of our own. I'll start there.....

Here is my brother, Aaron, playing the Wii fit. Bill and Rachele were nice enough to bring it over! I think.......I THINK.....that I have all the high scores on almost every event! Just to throw that out there! Hahaha!

My Dad playing Wii. He crashed everytime on the ski jump. Hilarious!

Madeline making a snow cone. It came as a free rental with the water slide! Awesome and highly recommended!!!

The amazing cook............David! Hotdogs and hamburgers......yum!
And here is the amazing 5 hour fun slide. It kept the kids busy for the entire 5 hours! Non-stop action baby!
Here is Kylee and Sydney going down the slide with Madeline, Page and Abby not far behind. I love Sydney's face in this picture! My sister came and took some pictures with her crazy amazing camera so I'm sure you'll be able to decifer between my cheap camera's shots and hers. Hint hint......(below)
7 of the 18 kids attempting to go down at the same time. Watch out below!!!!!
Sam, Hanna and Page having the time of their lives!
Cute photographer's eye-view! Love these shots!
Page and Abby........best sisters!

Kylee going solo for a change!
Classic Sam face! Nice!
And here is the yummy birthday cake. Kylee wanted a Belle cake but Costco didn't make those so we had to settle for the happy smily face flowers! She loved it regardless!
She is so excited! I love how all her cousin's are even more excited for her. She has the best cousin's EVER!
Here is Kylee the day after her party..........enjoying a make-up kit that she got. What a great present!!!! :)

And last but not least is a video of David playing the Wii Fit. He is doing a hoola-hoop challenge and it was too funny!! I had to catch it on video. He didn't realize I was taping him until the end. It posted sideways though so you'll have to tilt your head to get the full funny effects of the video. Hilarious!!!

And there you have it!!!! I know it was a lot of pictures but we had so much fun and couldn't help but take tons of pics! My baby is officially 3 and is incredibly sassy.......but a sweetheart in every way! I love you Kylee Princess Baby! (just one of her many names I have for her)!!!

Happy Birthday Princess!!!

My baby is 3 today......I can't believe it! Even though my heart yearns to have another baby, I'm so glad and thankful for the time I've had alone with my precious Kylee. She is such an amazing blessing in my life and I don't know what I'd do without her. Here's a look back at some of my most favorite pictures of her over the years:

1 YEAR OLD

2 YEARS OLD

3 YEARS OLD - (almost!)

I love you sweetheart! I hope you have a fun birthday party today! (pictures of that to come)

Conversation with Daddy and the hidden cricket...

So I'm on the computer, which is in the room right next to Kylee's, and I hear this loud cricket coming from the back wall of Kylee's room. I go in there, move around all the furniture along that wall and the dang thing is still chirping as loud as can be. I pounded on the walls and all over the carpet but the dang thing kept on going. It was making me so mad!!! Kylee was watching me the entire time and knew that I was trying to kill this cricket. So in the mean time, David calls and I'm telling him about my frustrations with this cricket. Kylee then asks me to talk to Daddy. This was how their conversation went:
Kylee - "Daddy....there's a cricket in my room. It's loud and Mommy can't find it."
Daddy - "Oh really.....did you get it?"
Kylee - "No Daddy.....it's hiding."
Daddy - "Well go tell it to be quiet."
Kylee - (she walks into her room and says this) - "Cricket be quiet.......stay right there because we are going to kill you!"
It was hilarious! But to be perfectly honest.....I haven't heard the cricket chirp since and it's been well over 15 minutes. HAHA! That cricket must have been scared out of it's mind! Ha! Who needs a pest control man when you've got Kylee! Nice!

Couple's Date Night!

So I can't remember the last time I had been bowling..........that's why we planned a fun bowling night with a couple "couples" in our ward. It was so much fun! There is the funnest bowling alley in Gilbert that I never knew about. It was cosmic bowling for the first hour we were there. I probably gutter-balled my first 3 attempts but I must say that on my very last bowl of our last game, I finally got a strike! I foot-faulted just a little so it didn't count on the actual screen, but all the pins knocked down in one attempt and I'm calling it a strike baby!
Here's David showing off his sexy bowling pose! He had some other "nice" poses that were too......um........cute to post on here - - - - those of you that were there know what I'm talking about!
Below here is Nick and Tanya. Nick was getting "lucky".......woo hoo!
I only had my camera phone with me so some of the pictures came out blurry. Sorry Travis and Jamie! For some reason, your picture is one of them!!! Still a cute couple through the blurry-ness!

And last but not least......David and his beautiful, lovely, talented, non-competitive wife! Haha! Almost all true words!
